The pantry car of a running train traveling from Bengaluru to Jamshedpur was separated by the train staff on Tuesday, 5 March after catching a major fire.

As per an NDTV report, the incident took place in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district at 2 am after the pantry car of the Yesvantpur-Tatanagar Superfast Express caught fire.

Before separating the car, the staff present on board tried to douse the flames.

There were no injuries reported, however the cause of the fire remains unknown.

The report also stated that following the incident, several trains running in the Vijayawada-Vizag sector were delayed. Train services were later resumed after the clearance of the tracks.
