Delhi’s tableau made a comeback at the 68th Republic Day celebrations, on Thursday, after three years and so did Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s attempt at satire at the BJP leadership.

Delhi had failed to make the cut for the R-Day parade in the last three years. This year, the theme was ‘model government school’ which portrayed the transformation in state-run schools and the recent initiatives taken in the education sector.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who attended the programme at Rajpath, also took a selfie with the city's tableau.

‘Save Democracy From Hitlerite Forces’

Earlier in the day, after wishing the citizens on Republic Day and urging them to save “this democracy from Hitlerite forces”, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that Modi must be awarded the Bharat Ratna for his “courage” to award Padma Vibhushan to NCP leader Sharad Pawar.
