A leading Odia daily Sambad published prominent journalist Rajdeep Sardesai’s sketch as a terror suspect in a report on the suspected armed men who were spotted in Uran by school children.

Sardesai’s sketch was captioned as “sketch of a terror suspect.”

Rajdeep Sardesai’s sketch was captioned as Uran’s “terror suspect” in a report in a leading Odia daily.

The embarrassing flaw in the report caught the journalist’s eye, who tweeted about it.

Sambad apologised in a reply to Sardesai’s tweet but the error was condemned nonetheless by senior journalists from Odisha.

The original sketches made by the police that has been circulated in various media publications bears no resemblance to Sardesai’s sketch.
