Five people were arrested by Noida Police on Monday, 4 February, over an incident of shooting at a guard posted outside mobile manufacturer Oppo’s office building in Greater Noida on Thursday.

The police said that the five suspects were apprehended for firing at and injuring the guard and for discharging their weapons in public.

The police also said that illegal weapons, possibly used in the firing, and a car were also recovered.

The incident, that took place at around 11:30 pm on Thursday night, left the guard, Dhiresh Kumar Singh, injured. The assailants, as per the police report, had fled the scene after shooting Singh.
