Three suspected militants were killed in Gurez sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district as the army foiled an infiltration bid on 27 July.

The troops noticed suspicious movement along the LoC and challenged the intruders which led to a firefight, the Army spokesperson said.

The infiltration bid in Gurez comes at a time of increased cross-border hostility between India and Pakistan.
