A top separatist leader from Manipur has been arrested from east Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area, police said on Thursday.

Delhi Police’s special cell arrested Khoirom Ranjit aka Rocky or Great Macha, who is wanted in connection with various terror attacks in Manipur, on Thursday morning, said a senior police officer. He was arrested along with a woman identified as Inugbam Sanatombi Devi.

He is the chief of Manipur's proscribed Kangliepak Communist Party.

A Delhi court has sent Ranjit to seven-day police custody while his aide was sent to two day’s police remand.
