Two television actors - Gagan Kang and Arjit Lavania - along with a spotboy, were killed in a road accident on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Palghar district near Mumbai on Saturday.

Manor police said that Gagan Kang (38) who plays the role of Lord Indra in the mythological serial Mahakali-Anth Hi Aarambh Hai aired on Colors over the weekends was driving the Fiat Linea. His co-star Arjit Lavania (30), who plays Nandi in the serial was seated beside him.

Their spot boy, who has not been identified yet, was on the rear seat. They were returning to their Goregaon home from their studio in Umbergaon in Gujarat.

The victims were returning to Mumbai from Ahmedabad after finishing a shoot when their car skidded off the road and rammed into a stationary truck near Chilar Phata at around 10 am, Inspector Patil said.

The area is witnessing a heavy downpour since morning.

The impact of the collision was such that all three occupants of the car died on the spot. Gagan Kang, who lived in Goregaon, Mumbai, was driving at the time of the accident.
