A group of brave citizens formed a human chain to rescue a biker who was being swept away by flood waters in Chennai. The biker was washed away by the gushing waters on a street adjacent to a river.

But, luckily for the biker, brave samaritans rushed to his rescue and managed to pull him to safety. In the video, many other people stranded on the waterlogged road are seen rushing to the bikers help.

Chennai has been witnessing unprecedented rains – breaking a 100-year-old record – and flooding in major parts of the city. The city’s international airport was also shut down on Wednesday after water engulfed the runway following days of heavy rain in the region.
