UP Govt to Compensate Family of Lawyer Shot Dead in Colonelganj
The family of the slain lawyer will receive compensation of Rs 10 lakh, the Uttar Pradesh government announced.
The Uttar Pradesh government announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family of Rajesh Srivastava, the lawyer who was shot dead on Thurday, 10 May, in Colonelganj’s Manmohan Park area, reported ANI.
At a protest against the death of their colleague earlier in the day, lawyers set a bus on fire near the District Magistrate’s office in Allahabad.
The police were present at the location of the protest.
Colonelganj is a town and municipal board in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda disrict.
