Election for all the 50 Zilla Panchayat (ZP) constituencies in Goa will be held on 22 March.

The State Election Commission (SEC) announced the poll schedule for Zilla Panchayats (ZPs) in Goa, which has two districts.

The nomination process will start on 27 February and conclude on 5 March, he said.

Sisodia Meets FM Nirmala Sitharaman, Demands Delhi's Share in Central Taxes

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and demanded Delhi's share in central taxes, which he said would help speed up cleaning the Yamuna and make arrangements for sufficient electricity and water supply in the city.

In the meeting, he also demanded funds for all the three municipal corporations in Delhi, the same way as Centre gives money to civic bodies in other states.

HC Allows Bhim Army to Hold Meeting at Ground Near RSS HQ

The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court on Friday allowed the Bhim Army to hold a meeting of its workers at Reshimbagh Ground on 22 February, but imposed certain conditions.

A division bench of Justices Sunil Shukre and Madhav Jamdar said the petition of the Dalit outfit, seeking permission for the conclave, is allowed with conditions.

Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad is scheduled to address the meeting.

JeM Associate Held in J&K's Budgam District

An associate of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) was arrested from Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district, police said on Friday.

Acting on a tip-off, a checkpoint was established at Khan Sahib in the central Kashmir district. A vehicle was intercepted and Saqib Ahmad Lone, a resident of Wager village in the area, was arrested and incriminating material was recovered from his possession, according to a police spokesperson.

At Least 7 Injured in Road Accident in Mathura
