Eight people were injured and suffered pellet injuries and forces allegedly set ablaze two electricity transformers after local residents resisted a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) launched by Police, Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Tarigam in Kulgam, on Monday, reported Greater Kashmir.

The launch operation was launched in search of suspected militants, the police officials said.

Trainee Pilot Injured as Aircraft Crash Lands

A trainee pilot from an aviation training institute, who was on a practice sortie in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft, was injured after crash-landing in a village near Indapur town in Pune district following a snag in the engine on Tuesday afternoon.

Tyre Burnt Inside Heritage Mosque; FIR filed, ASI Probes

Police registered an FIR against unknown persons on Tuesday after a tyre was burnt inside the premises of Jama Masjid, one of the 114 monuments listed by the Baroda Heritage Trust, in Champaner. The mosque is a part of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
