Afghan Officials: Explosion Kills 4 Students in Crossfire

Muzaffarpur Shelter Home Case: Court Frames Charges Against 21 Accused

Taliban Kill Nine Afghan Policemen in Checkpoint Assault
Nine Afghan policemen were killed when Taliban fighters stormed their checkpoints and launched a follow-up ambush in the eastern Afghanistan city of Ghazni, officials said on Saturday, 30 March.
The assault began early on Friday when the Taliban attacked two adjacent checkpoints, Ghazni police spokesman Ahmad Khan Seerat told AFP.
ED Files Chargesheet Against Deepak Talwar, Son
ED on Saturday, 30 march, filed a prosecution complaint in Delhi's Patiala House Court against Corporate Lobbyist Deepak Talwar, in a case of conniving with politicians, bureaucrats and granting profitable routes of Air India to private airlines.
ED has also named his son, Aditya Talwar, as an accused in the chargesheet. The court will take cognisance of the matter on 15 April. Talwar’s judicial custody has also been extended for the same date.
ED also attached hotel Holiday Inn, valued at Rs 120 crore, located in the upscale Aerocity area in the national capital, in connection with the money laundering case against Talwar.

Court Extends ED Custody of Sushen Mohan Gupta
A Delhi court on Saturday, 30 March, extended by four days the custodial interrogation of Sushen Mohan Gupta, alleged defence agent arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in the Rs 3,600-crore VVIP choppers scam related money laundering case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which produced Gupta, before Special judge Arvind Kumar, had sought extension of his custody by 10 days, PTI reported.

A Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire on the Gaza border early on Saturday, the territory's health ministry said, hours ahead of planned mass protests, as per AFP.
The ministry said Mohammed Saad, 20, died after being hit in the head with shrapnel caused by Israeli army fire east of Gaza City.

A National People's Party (NPP) worker has been killed by a suspected NSCN (IM) member at a village in Arunachal Pradesh, a district official said, as per PTI.

ITBP Officer Shoots Himself in J&K’s Baramulla
An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) officer shot and killed himself with his service rifle on Saturday, 30 March, in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.
The victim was identified as Sub-Inspector Chander Mani. The incident took place inside a camp in Tangmarg area.
"An FIR has been registered into the incident," the police added.
