PoK Activists Hold Protests Outside Pak High Commission in London

Activists from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir protested outside the Pakistan High Commission in London on 22 October to mark "Black Day". They demanded that Pakistan security forces leave PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan. The day is observed to mark the invasion of Kashmir by Pakistan in 1947.

Fuel Prices Decline for the Sixth Straight Day

Fuel prices went further down on Tuesday, marking the sixth straight day the prices have gone down.

The petrol price in Delhi was revised to Rs 81.34 per litre, while in Mumbai the prices were Rs 86.81 after a 10 paise drop.

Diesel is being sold seven paise lower at Rs 74.85 per litre in Delhi while in Mumbai, it is being sold at Rs 78.46.

Shooting Reported at University of Utah

A shooting has been reported in the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, United States, the University said on its twitter handle.

According to reports, the police is still looking for the suspect, who is still at large. The suspect is said to be a black male, about 37 years old. He is wearing a gray beanie, black pants, white hoodie and white shoes. He was last seen on foot leaving NB from the medical towers.

Girl Raped in Nagpur College, FIR Registered

A Girl student at BR Mirdha government college in Nagpur was allegedly raped in college premises by a student of a private college on 20 October. The room where the alleged incident took place has been sealed. An FIR has been registered but the accused is absconding.

Sensex cracks 34,000-mark, Nifty below 10,200 on weak global cues

The benchmark BSE Sensex Tuesday extended its losing spree for the fourth straight day and dipped below the 34,000-mark in early trade, on unabated foreign fund outflows and selling by domestic institutional investors amid weakness in Asian markets.

Moreover, the rupee depreciating by another 23 paise to 73.79 against the dollar also dampened sentiments.
