German prosecutors said they had fined car parts supplier Bosch 90 million euros (USD 100 million) over its role supplying components in the "dieselgate" emissions cheating scandal.

HC Asks Aircraft, Insurance Firms to Pay Rs 50L Each to Families of Plane Crash Victims

The Delhi High Court has directed a chartered aircraft firm and an insurance company to pay Rs 50 lakh compensation to the families of each of the two doctors and a nurse who were killed in a plane crash while on a medical emergency flight in 2011.

Ten persons including all seven on board a small civil chartered aircraft were killed when the medical ambulance flight to Delhi from Patna had crashed into a densely-populated residential area in bad weather near Faridabad in May 2011.

SEBI Fines 5 Entities Rs 39 Lakh for Manipulative Trade

Markets regulator Sebi levied a total fine of over Rs 39 lakh on five entities for indulging in fraudulent trades in the illiquid stock options segment of BSE.

Among the five entities, Straight Line Food Products and Winsher Commercial were fined Rs 5 lakh each, Shri Radha Raman Alloys and Vindus Holdings were levied a penalty of Rs 9 lakh each while Rs 11.20 lakh was imposed on Subhlabh Fiscal Services, totalling Rs 39.20 lakh.

Russian Tabloid Publishes 'Skripal Audio Recording'

Russian tabloid published what it said was an audio recording of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, who was poisoned along with his daughter in Britain last year.

The popular Moskovsky Komsomolets daily published the 30-second recording on its website, saying it was the voice of the former double agent talking to his Russia-based niece, Viktoria Skripal. If authentic, the audio would be the first the outside world has heard from the former spy since the attack in the English city of Salisbury that sparked a diplomatic crisis between Moscow and London.
