SIT Locates Mansoor Khan, to Be Arrested in Delhi

IMA founder Mansoor Khan has been brought back to Delhi after an SIT team located him in Dubai. He will be arrested soon in Delhi.

Turkey on Thursday launched an air attack on Iraqi Kurdistan in response to the killing of a Turkish diplomat in the region, the country's defence minister said.

At Least 9 Children Dead, 16 Hurt in Philippines Truck Crash

Philippine police say at least 9 mostly grade school students died and 16 others were injured when the truck they were riding on lost control on a downhill road, flipped on its side and pinned some of the victims.

Police investigator Nelson Saquibal says several of the injured, including the driver, were brought to a hospital after the accident in Boljoon town in central Cebu province. The students from two village schools were to attend a cultural, health and sports festival in the town center.

Centre, Assam Govt Urge SC to Extend NRC Deadline

The Centre and the Assam government have requested the Supreme Court to extend the deadline for final NRC for 20 percent sample verification of draft NRC data in border districts, reports The Times of India.

Both the central and the state governments reportedly said that there is a growing perception that lakhs of illegal migrants have been included in the NRC in collusion with local NRC officials.

A 28-year-old Dalit man sustained injuries after some people mistook him for a thief and allegedly tried to burn him alive when he entered a house to avoid stray dogs in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district, police said.

The victim, Sujit Kumar, was rushed to a hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable, they said, adding that two of the four accused named in the FIR had been arrested.
