Less Than a Day After Inauguration, Vande Bharat Express Breaks Down

Vande Bharat Express, inaugurated by PM Modi on Friday, 15 February, broke down in the middle of nowhere. There is now uncertainty over Sunday's first commercial run. According to reports, the breaks jammed in the one of the last coaches and there was no power in the four coaches. Nigerian Presidential Polls Postponed to 23 February

In the wake of a massacre that claimed 66 lives on the eve of the country's presidential election, the national polling body announced the poll have been postponed until February 23 as scheduled voting was not "feasible".

At least 66 people, including 22 children and 12 women were killed on Friday by unidentified gunmen in Kaduna state, state government spokesman Samuel Aruwan said in a statement.

Saudi Crown Prince Salman's First Visit to Pak Delayed by a Day

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman's arrival in Pakistan on his first official visit to the country has been delayed by a day for "unknown reasons".

He was scheduled to reach Islamabad on 16 February but due to a slight change, he will arrive on 17 February, according to the Foreign Office.

Ticket Collector Held for Shouting Pro-Pakistan Slogans in Lonavla

A junior ticket collector posted at Lonavla railway station was arrested for shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” in the wake of Pulwama terror attack that claimed lives of 40 CRPF jawans.

The Pune rural police arrested Upendrakumar Veer Bahadur Singh at Shivaji Chowk in Lonavla near Pune on charges of promoting enmity under section 153 (b) of the Indian Penal Code. A magisterial court has sent Singh to police custody till 18 February.

An Indian Army Major has been killed in an IED blast in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowshera.

Soldier Injured After Pak Troops Fired Along LoC

A soldier was injured after Pakistani troops fired from small arms on forward posts along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday officials said.

The unprovoked firing from across the border started in the Naushera sector around 1600 hours, prompting strong retaliation by Indian troops, they said.

The exchange of fire between the two sides is continuing when last reports were received, the officials said. They said a soldier was injured when he was hit by a bullet in the Kalal area of the sector. He was immediately shifted to a hospital. The Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively, the officials said.
