FIR Lodged Against Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna Over 'Accidental Prime Minister' Movie

Muzaffarpur Police has lodged an FIR against actors Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna and 12 others on a district court's direction in connection with the movie 'The Accidental Prime Minister'.

The FIR was lodged at the Kanti police station on Tuesday after the court took objection to non-compliance of its January 8 order in this regard.

No Information on Deaths Related to Demonetisation, Says PMO

The Prime Minister's Office has said it holds no "information" related to the deaths in the aftermath of demonetisation, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 November 2016.

The Central Public Information Officer of the PMO made the claim before the Central Information Commission which was hearing the case of an RTI applicant who was not provided with the information within the mandated period of 30 days after filing of his application.

Two Held for Issuing Forged Letter for Obtaining Aadhaar

The police in Thane district Wednesday arrested two persons for allegedly forging the letterhead and signatureof Maharashtra minister Ravindra Chavan and issuing fake recommendations for obtaining Aadhaar cards.

Ashok Kate, who is in his 30s, and Anil Sindkar, around 55 years old, were booked for cheating, forgery and other relevant offences.
