China Orders Local Airlines to Ground Boeing 737 Max 8
China on Monday ordered domestic airlines to suspend commercial operation of the Boeing 737 MAX 8, citing the crash of an Ethiopian Airlines flight of that model after takeoff from Addis Ababa.
Operation of the 737 MAX 8 aircraft will resume after "confirming the relevant measures to effectively ensure flight safety", China's Civil Aviation Administration said in a statement.

Fire Breaks out at Vikas Bhawan, 3 Fire Tenders at the Spot
A fire broke out on the sixth floor of Vikas Bhawan near ITO in central Delhi, reported PTI. The DFS received a call about the fire at around 12.10 PM.
Five fire tenders were rushed to spot and the blaze was brought under control, Atul Garg, Chief Fire Officer told the news agency.
A technical snag in one of the air conditioners led to the fire, he said adding no injury or casualty has been reported.

6-Year-Old Drowns in Water Tank in J&K
A six-year-old boy drowned in a water tank inside the premises of a government school in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, police said on Monday.
Aahil Mirza, a resident of Ujjan village, accidentally fell into the water tank while playing on Sunday evening, they said.
His body was recovered from the underground tank and handed over to his family for the last rites after the completion of legal formalities, the police said.

The ED has attached a Paris-based property worth Rs 5.83 crore of the ex-wife of Christian Michel, the alleged middleman arrested in the VVIP choppers scam case, under the anti-money laundering law.
It is said a provisional order under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) has been issued to attach the asset at 45 Avenue, Victor Hugo in France and it is in the name of Ms SCI Solaime and belongs to Michel's ex-wife Valerie Michel.

Russian Arms Exports to India Fell by 42 %
Russia's arms export to India, the world's second largest importer of major arms, fell by a whopping 42 percent between 2014-18 and 2009-2013, according to a SIPRI report.
As a result, Russia accounted for 58 percent of total Indian arms imports in 2014-2018, compared with 76 per cent in 2009-2013, according to the report "Trends in International Arms Transfers, 2018" released by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
