Filing of Income Tax Returns has registered an upsurge of 71% up to 31 August, 2018. The total number of ITRs e-filed up to 31 August was 5.42 crore as against 3.17 crore up to 31 August 2017, reported ANI.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, 1 September launched the payments bank of Indian postal department that will take banking to doorstep of every citizen through an unmatched network of post offices and almost 3 lakh postmen and 'Grameen Dak Sewaks', reported PTI.
