Jain Muni Tarun Sagar Passes Away
Jain Muni Tarun Sagar passed away on Saturday morning, 1 September, in Delhi due to a prolonged illness. He was 51 years old.
Even though his condition had turned critical, Sagar had stopped taking medicines for the past few days before his demise. He opted instead for ‘Santhara’ or ‘Sallekhana’, the Jain ritual of fast unto death.

PM launches India Post Payments Bank in Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, 1 September launched the payments bank of Indian postal department that will take banking to doorstep of every citizen through an unmatched network of post offices and almost 3 lakh postmen and 'Grameen Dak Sewaks', reported PTI.
According to ANI, IPPB will have 650 branches and 3250 access points across the country. All the 1.55 lakh post offices in the country will be linked to the IPPB system by 31 December.
