Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai on Tuesday, 30 October, witnessed a downward trend.
Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi stood at Rs 79.55 per litre (a fall of Rs 0.20) and Rs 73.78 per litre (Rs 0.07 lower), respectively.
Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai stood at Rs 85.04 per litre (decrease by Rs 0.20) and Rs 77.32 per litre (a Rs 0.08 fall), respectively.

Landslide Closes J&k Highway, One Dead
One man was killed in a landslide that shut down a stretch of the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district on Tuesday, police said.
The operator of a JCB machine was killed after being hit by rubble sliding down mountain sides in Digdol area.
Travellers were advised not to undertake any journey without contacting Jammu and Srinagar control rooms.

Veteran Marathi Composer Yeshwant Deo Dies
Veteran Marathi singer, lyricist and music composer Yeshwant Deo passed away after a brief illness here on Tuesday, family sources said. He was 91.
Deo breathed his last at the Sushrusha Hospital in Dadar where he was admitted for treatment of pneumonia and other complications almost three weeks ago.
His last rites shall be performed at the Dadar Crematorium here later on Tuesday

Tiger Cub Born in Bengal Safari Park Found Dead

Private Vehicles Might Stop Plying in Delhi if Pollution Continues
India’s environment pollution control authority on Tuesday said private vehicles will have to be stopped from plying in the capital of New Delhi if air pollution continues to worsen.
“Let us hope the air pollution situation in Delhi doesn’t deteriorate or else we will have to stop plying of private vehicles. Only public transport will be used,” Bhure Lal, chairman, Environment Pollution Control Authority, was quoted as saying by ANI.

Shahbuddin Double Murder Case: SC Upholds Life Term to RJD Leader
The Supreme Court has upheld the conviction and sentence of former MP and RJD leader Mohammad Shahabuddin and three others in a 2004 double murder case in which two brothers were killed for not paying extortion money.
"We find no ground to interfere. The Special Leave Petitions are dismissed," the bench said adding that the case was of grievous nature in which a person, who had witnessed the killing of his brother, was also shot dead.
Satish and Girish Roshan were murdered in August 2004 in Siwan for refusing to pay extortion money.
