Kolkata witnessed a damp and quiet Diwali, yet 730 people were arrested for disorderly conduct, including playing music on loudspeakers beyond the stipulated hours and bursting loud crackers, as Indian Express reported.
Till the wee hours of Friday, 125 complaints were received by the police.
Most arrests were made from the northern parts of the city.
