One of India’s big moments are here. The Chandrayaan-2 moon mission has been launched on Monday, 22 July and this event will be recorded in India’s history as one of the times India made its presence felt at the global platform.

Chandrayaan-2 is India’s second lunar mission, which is headed to the moon's south polar region on 22 July.
The Chandrayaan-2 mission was launched at 2:43 pm on 22 July 2019. It was earlier scheduled to launch at 2:51 am on 15 July 2019 but was aborted due to a technical snag.
Chandrayaan-2 will be launching from Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be live streaming the launch on its Twitter and Facebook page. DD National channel will be live streaming the launch of Chandryaan-2 Moon Mission live. The mission will also be streamed live on DD National's and The Quint YouTube channel
However, those who have managed to register in time to watch the launch from the venue itself, will get to witness it from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre’s viewing gallery.
Chandrayaan-2 will be attempting to soft land the Vikram module on the surface of the moon. Pragyaan, a six-wheeled Rover, will be deployed for carrying out several experiments.
Chandrayaan-1’s lift-off mass was 1,380 kg, whereas the weight of Chandrayaan-2 is 3,850 kg.
