15 August, 1947 was the day India got her independence from the British, and 70 years on, India has changed drastically.

From writing long letters to expressing ourselves in just 140 characters, we too have changed with our India. Then or now, what’s good and what’s not – it is an endless debate.

As India will celebrate her 69th Independence Day this year, we at The Quint asked people to send a tweet-letter to their grandparents in just 140 characters.

So, here are some short and sweet messages to a generation that doesn’t even know about Twitter, from a generation that survives on it.
