Hyderabad: 24-Year-Old Air Hostess Molested, Robbed by Cab Driver

The perpetrator is still at large and has been booked under charges of attempt to rape and robbery.

A 24-year-old air hostess was allegedly molested and robbed by a cab driver in the outskirts of Hyderabad around 2 am on Tuesday, reported The Times of India.

The driver was identified as Imran, and police have formed special teams to track him down. He has been booked for attempt to rape and robbery.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that she went out of her house to buy some medicines, and approached the driver for help after realising that the nearby pharmacy was closed. She said that Imran took her to an isolated spot after promising to help her and sexually assaulted her.

When the survivor, seated in the front, tried to escape, he caught hold of her, pushed her down and molested her. But she managed to resist him. The driver then snatched her cell phone and hit her. He left her at an isolated spot and fled.
