  • A militant was killed during an encounter between the security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday, 6 February, ANI reported.
  • The area has been cordoned-off and while search operations by police forces are on. There are no reports of any casualties so far.
  • The slain militant was identified as Irfan Ahmed Sheikh, resident of Chakoora, Pulwama, according to the ANI report. The report added that Sheikh was a militant commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
