8-Year-Old Girl Lured With Chocolates, Raped at Knife-Point
The man came to the girl’s house on the pretext of meeting her parents, lured her with chocolates.
An eight-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh was raped at knife-point, reported Hindustan Times. The incident took place in Sheopur town, 400 kms north of Bhopal. According to police, the girl is a resident of Kamal Kherali slum in Gandhi Nagar.
The accused, Sitaram Mali, came to the girl’s house on the pretext of meeting her family members. The girl, who lives with her grandparents and father, was alone at the time.
When the girl told Mali that her family was out on work, he asked her to accompany him and offered her chocolates. He then took her to a field nearby and raped her at knife-point. The girl, who was quiet initially, screamed out of pain and fear. A few passers-by heard her and came to investigate, at which point, Mali fled the scene.
The police have registered a case and are looking for the accused.
