While Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it would cause a “temporary inconvenience”, the woes of demonetisation don’t seem to end.

Serpentine lines spill out of banks and ATMs as people wait for hours to get cash. Standing in one such queue, a woman waiting outside an ATM in Mayur Vihar Phase 3 in New Delhi removed her shirt in protest.

She was taken to Ghazipur Police Station, News18 reported, after women personnel who made her cover up, arrived at the scene.

The stunt however seemed to have worked in her favour, because after brief questioning, the woman was taken to a nearby ATM where she was able to withdraw cash. Desperate times do call for desperate measures!
