Delhi HC To Hear Defence Ministry on AgustaWestland Arbitration
The court has asked both the parties to file their affidavits within five weeks.
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday, 9 January, has agreed to hear the Ministry of Defence (MoD) on the arbitration proceedings going on between AgustaWestland and MoD.
The court has asked both the parties to file their affidavits within five weeks. It will next hear the case on 28 February.
Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Pinky Anand, appearing for the Defence Ministry, said that there were several criminal proceedings going on against AgustaWestland due to which arbitration proceedings cannot be allowed to go on, reported Indian Express.
The government had moved court seeking permanent injunction order to restrain AgustaWestland from continuing with arbitration process as there were criminal cases ongoing before the trial court.
