Mumbai police chief Rakesh Maria is reportedly upset over the fact that the media was tracking the people involved in the case before cops reached out to them.

The Quint has also learnt that while Mikhail has claimed that Indrani wanted to kill him too, a view endorsed by Mumbai Police, his activities are also under suspicion. Circumstantial evidence suggests that while he received a Rs 15,000 allowance per month from Indrani, he may even have resorted to blackmailing, including the demand that his mother cough up Rs 20-25 crore which would go towards purchasing property in Bangalore.

The Quint has learnt that a friend of Sheena’s told Mumbai Police that she feared Sheena was missing and possibly murdered. The basis for this fear was that Sheena had stopped communicating after the two of them had met and talked about her life and plans to settle down with Rahul Mukerjea.
