India’s commercial-hub Mumbai, which is infamous for its high real estate prices, has been ranked as the least expensive of the top eight commercial hubs in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, on the basis cost of living.

The eight key cities are Mumbai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.

The findings were based on a survey conducted by a visual analytics app called Qlik.

The app claims that the cost of living in Mumbai is 53 percent below the average cost of living in these eight cities. Similarly, higher education and food is 68 percent and 61 percent less expensive respectively.

However, a Mercedes CLS is 20 percent more expensive in Mumbai compared to one in Tokyo. Also, a round of golf (9 holes) is more expensive in Mumbai when compared to Sydney.
