India recorded a rise of 6,535 COVID-19 cases and 146 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the country, as on Tuesday, 26 May, stands at 1,45,380 including 80,722 active cases and 60,490 cured or discharged, says Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. 4,167 deaths have been reported so far.

“Recovery rate in India continues to improve and is presently 41.61 percent,” according to the Health Ministry.

The United States has recorded 532 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing its total to 98,218, news agency AFP reported on Tuesday, 26 May, citing the Johns Hopkins University tracker. The country has recorded over 1.6 million cases so far.

  • After a two-month halt, domestic flight operations resumed from Monday, with 532 flights carrying 39,231 passengers flying on the first day
  • Around 630 flights were also cancelled on the first day of air travel resumption, leading to chaos at airports

532 Coronavirus Deaths in US in Last 24 Hours

The United States has recorded 532 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing its total to 98,218, news agency AFP reported on Tuesday, citing the Johns Hopkins University tracker. The country has recorded over 1.6 million cases so far.

Govt Allows Domestic Air Services by 'Non-Scheduled and Private Operators'

Raj Govt Allows Opening of Parks, Cab and Auto Services

Ministry of Health added, “4.4 deaths per lakh population have been reported for the world, while India has reported about 0.3 deaths per lakh population, which is amongst the lowest in the world. This has been due to lockdown, timely identification and management of COVID-19 cases.

38 New Positive Cases Recorded in Mumbai's Dharavi

Haryana Reports 94 New Cases; Tally at 1,305

“Ninety-four new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Haryana today; taking the total number of cases to 1,305,” the Haryana Health Department stated.

With 361 New Cases in Gujarat, Total Rises to 14,829

“In the last 24 hours, 361 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Gujarat; taking the total number cases to 14,829. Death toll rises to 915 after 27 deaths were reported in last 24 hours,” the Gujarat Health Department, reports ANI.

1,002 Positive Cases, 39 Deaths Recorded in Mumbai

“1,002 new COVID-19 positive cases and 39 deaths have been reported in Mumbai today. Total positive cases rise to 32,791 and death toll stands at 1,065,” the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

No New Case Reported in Goa Today; 39 Active Cases

“No new positive case of COVID-19 reported in Goa today. Nine more people have recovered; there are 39 active cases in the state now,”said the Directorate of Health Services, Goa, reports ANI.

94 Fresh Cases Reported in Haryana Today

“Haryana has recorded 94 new COVID-19 cases, including 33 from Gurgaon; state's count rises to 1,305,” the Health Department said, reports PTI.

Air India Staff on Delhi-Ludhiana Flight Tests Positive for COVID-19

A 50-year-old man who is a member of security staff in Air India and is a permanent resident of Delhi has tested positive for coronavirus. He came back from Delhi on 25 May on board a domestic flight, the District Public Relations Office, Ludhiana said, reports ANI.
