Jyotiraditya Scindia, Mother Hospitalised With COVID-Like Symptoms
Both were admitted to Delhi’s Max Hospital.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia were admitted to Max Super Speciality hospital in Delhi’s Saket on Monday, 8 June, after they complained of throat irritation and mild fever – both COVID-19 symptoms, reported news agency IANS.
Citing people close to the family and sources in the hospital, a subsequent report by IANS stated that Scindia and his mother tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, with the former having mild symptoms and the latter being asymptomatic.
The two were reportedly tested on Monday and the results came out on Tuesday.
However, Max hospital or the Scindia family have not yet issued any official statement regarding the health of both, the report added.
After Scindia joined the BJP, some of his close associates followed him, causing the fall of the Congress government led by Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh.
The BJP then formed the government under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Now both the parties are gearing up for by-elections in the state.

Shortly after news of Scindia and his mother’s hospitalisation emerged, many political leaders wished for their speedy recovery.
