A four-year-old girl in Bengaluru was allegedly sexually assaulted by a school staff, reported NDTV.

According to the report, the incident came to light after the child complained of pain to her parents on Tuesday. Suspecting assault, her parents took the child to the hospital and filed a complaint with the Bengaluru police.

Senior police officer Chetan Rathore, speaking to NDTV, said that while the investigation was underway, the police are not able to avail evidence to support the suspicion like CCTV camera or medical examination.

The police have questioned the school staff, and have taken one security guard for questioning.

No guards were seen near the girl... we are waiting for a formal medical report, and to talk to the child as well.

The alleged sexual assault by a school staff comes to light after the murder of Pradyumn Thakur, a Class 2 student of Ryan International School in Gurugram, who was found dead with his throat slit in the school washroom on 8 September.

A bus conductor confessed to the killing, but many questions still remain unanswered, and the school administration has faced serious flak for the security lapse.
