Angry and Sad: SRK, Akshay and Alia Condemn Amarnath Terror Attack

The actors sent prayers to the victims of the attack and called it the most “shameful” and “cowardly” act.

Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Shekhar Kapur and Farhan Akhtar, among others, were saddened and appalled by Monday evening terrorist attack on Amarnath pilgrims.

Terrorists killed seven Amarnath pilgrims, including six women, and injured 19 others as they struck at a bus in Kashmir's Anantnag district, in the worst attack on the annual pilgrimage since the year 2001.

The film stars sent prayers to the victims of the attack and called it the most "shameful" and "cowardly" act.

An angry Akshay wrote, that the attack “is a low of another level!”

Shekhar shared, "Again a terrorist attack. On innocent pilgrims that wanted nothing but blessings of Lord Shiva. Time for action. Not words #AmarnathYatra."

Anupam Kher also sent heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of terrorist attack by tweeting, "May God give them strength to deal with this unexpected loss."

"Terrorist attack on the pilgrims of #AmaranthYatra is most shameful and cowardly act. Security forces should wipe out these terrorists," he added.

Swara Bhasker said, "SHAME on this heinous act of terror and crime! You are monsters!! Inhuman barbaric unjustifiable!! #AmarnathTerrorAttack."

Randeep Hooda posted, "What purpose could this cowardly violence lead to..condolences to the families of the ones lost ?? Hunt the responsible down #AmarnathYatra."

Madhur Bhandarkar said, "My prayers are with #AmarnathYatra attack victims and their families. This disgusting act of cowardice is beyond any reason of any kind."
