An abandoned bag has been found on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus on Sunday night.
One local made pistol and seven cartridges were present in the bag.
The authorities are investigating the matter to find out where the bag came from.
The campus is already in news because of missing student Najeeb Ahmed, who is yet to be traced after an alleged scuffle with ABVP members on 15 October.
