Hit-and-Run Case: Class 3 Ryan International Student Dead 

The girls parents have blamed the school for dropping her off on the wrong side of the road.

The seven-year-old girl who was seriously injured in Gurugram when she was hit by a speeding car after she de-boarded her school bus on 9 May succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the school bus who was on the run has been arrested by Gurugram Police, on Wednesday.

The girl’s parents had alleged that the school bus dropped her off at a place that was much further from the designated bus stop, where her mother was waiting.

Jiya Junega a third standard student from Ryan International School was being treated in Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital.

The parents also alleged that there was no attendant present on the bus when the child was dropped off and that the girl was hit by a car when she was trying to cross the road on her own.

Her parents had stormed the principal’s office on 13 May to protest the lack of “sensitivity” displayed by the school authorities.
