  • A Delhi resident was on Wednesday arrested in connection with the Udta Punjab leak ahead of its release.

  • The film was leaked online just two days ahead of its scheduled release in theatres. But the film’s team managed to remove it from the torrent sites on a war footing. Later, they also reportedly filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell against the leak.

  • According to the snapshots from the leaked copy – available on multiple online platforms – it was seemingly the copy submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It even featured scenes that the Censor Board had objected to.
