Indian Air Force bases in the western region have been put on high alert after two men in Indian Army uniforms were spotted in Tibri military station of Gurdaspur district of Punjab on Wednesday.

Fresh combing operations have been launched in the Tibri region along with the ongoing combing operations in the Pathankot air base.

The NIA is investigating the case.

There were six terrorists who were killed in the gun battle that ensued on 2 January. the number of terrorists was believed to be six but the incident in Tibri has raised speculations of more terrorists present in the area.

The Border Security Force (BSF) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is yet to make a statement on the combing operations.
