An inquiry report on the suspected food poisoning incident on-board the Tejas Express train has found no problem with the food quality, and said the unease was triggered after two children vomited “vitiating the air quality in the A/C coach”.
The report by a Central Railways team, accessed by PTI, said the quality of the food served on-board the premium train was “satisfactory”.
Railway officials said that according to hospital authorities, all the passengers are out of danger.
According to a Konkan Railway official, “All these passengers were deboarded at Chiplun and rushed to government and private hospitals.”
IRCTC officials said around 290 passengers were served breakfast, out of which three started complaining of unease and nausea. More passengers complained of similar symptoms later.
The Tejas Express, one of the premium trains of the Indian Railways, connects Mumbai and Karmali in Goa.
