A minor was allegedly gang-raped by her school's director and teacher recently in Rajasthan's Sikar. The victim was later forced to undergo abortion by the accused.

The victim has suffered brain damage due to the botched procedure. The two men had asked the victim to stay back at school for extra classes and then raped her. The ordeal continued till she became pregnant, two months later, NDTV reported.

The police arrested the accused – school director Jagdish and teacher Jagat. Police said that the girl’s condition only came to light over the weekend, when her condition deteriorated and she was rushed to a Jaipur hospital 100 km away.

The girl was operated upon twice. No proper care was taken and because of lack of oxygen, her brain is damaged... It seems to be a permanent damage.

As the incident’s news spread, angry parents demanded against the school which has 400 students on rolls. The school has been shut down indefinitely by the administration. Police will also investigate if the two men had preyed on other students as well.

The case came to light when the victim was referred to a Jaipur hospital after excessive bleeding. This came two days after a six-year-old was allegedly gang-raped by sweepers at a government school.

The police filed a complaint on the basis of the victim’s father’s statement, which stated that the Class 2 student was tied to a table near the school’s washroom and gang-raped by sweepers. The police have now detained two people, both of whom are sweepers, from the school.
