A shoe was hurled at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday by a man who claimed to be from the Aam Aadmi Sena, the breakaway group of AAP. Kejriwal was briefing the media at the Delhi Secretariat on the upcoming Odd-Even scheme, beginning 15 April.

The attacker, identified as Ved Prakash, was detained by the police, to be questioned further. He talked about alleged irregularities in the distribution of CNG stickers. Prakash also claimed that no action was taken, even after a complaint was filed by him with the Chief Minister.

The chief minister had earlier been targeted with ink and was slapped by a man during campaigning for the last Assembly elections in New Delhi.

Prakash continued to shout at Kejriwal as he was being whisked away. Kejriwal later continued with the press conference.
