PM Regrets Trouble Caused to Citizens in Chandigarh During Visit

Narendra Modi has regretted the inconvenience caused to people of Chandigarh due to his visit to the city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi regretted the inconvenience caused to citizens in Chandigarh during his visit, especially shutting of schools, and said a probe will be ordered to fix responsibility.

Modi said the inconvenience faced by the citizens was ‘totally avoidable.’

All government and private schools were on Thursday ordered to be closed by authorities in Chandigarh due to Modi’s visit to the city.

During his brief visit, Modi inaugurated the state-of-the-art new civil air terminal building, addressed the 34th Convocation of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and a public rally.

Modi apologised in his tweet saying:

Meanwhile, NDTV journalist Vishnu Som tweeted saying how a Senior Kargil veteran’s son’s cremation got delayed due to Modi’s visit to Chandigarh.
