  • More than 300 bonded labourers, including 80 children, have been rescued from a brick factory in Thiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu during a raid by authorities, officials said on Monday.

  • Most of the labourers rescued hail from Odisha and were allegedly made to work 12 hours per day on a salary of Rs 20. According to a bonded labourer, they were promised salaries of Rs 350-400 per day.
