Operation Lulz Had: ISIS Trolling Day by Anonymous
Anonymous celebrated ISIS trolling day on Friday, December 12. Look what users posted on that day to troll ISIS.
The network of hacktivists known as Anonymous declared last Friday as Troll ISIS Day, asking social media users to join the campaign to mock the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS or Daesh.
Users were asked to edit images and videos of the terror groupand hashtag #Daeshbags, referencing an Arabic acronym that the terror group hates to be called.
The duck-faced terrorists were the most common trolls on Twitter.
There was another post saying that ISIS is not afraid of killing journalists, but are terrified of being killed by a girl.
The Anonymous also started a chat room for users to post more photographs and trolls. Here the users posted much more explicit trolls and memes
ISIS uses social media to recruit new members, but how effective Troll ISIS Day has been is unknown. Posting funny memes cannot stop ISIS from recruiting, however it did initiate an online conversation about ISIS. The ISIS is viewed as one of the most humorless organisations and looks like Anonymous is trying to exactly point that out.
