‘No Need’ for CBI Probe in Jisha Rape and Murder Case: Kerala HC 

The court said the investigation being conducted by a police special investigation team (SIT) could continue.

  • On Monday, the Kerala High Court decided that there was no need for a CBI probe into the murder of Kerala law student Jisha.

  • The high court said the investigation being conducted by a police special investigation team (SIT) could continue. It added that it cannot ask for the investigating officer to be changed at present.

  • A report filed by the inspector general Mahipal Yadav regarding the progress of the investigation was considered by the court.
