Udhampur: One Militant, Civilian Killed in Gunfight in CRPF Camp

Two more civilians were also injured in the shootout.

One militant and a civilian were killed on Monday in Udhampur district of Jammu province in a shootout with security forces in an attack on a CRPF camp. Two more civilians were also injured in the shootout.

The gunfight took place on the 300-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway after the forces laid an ambush at Kud town following intelligence inputs that some militants were travelling in a bus on the national highway.

Militants fired at the security forces and in an exchange of fire one militant was killed.
