  • Two militants were killed on Thursday in an ongoing gunbattle. This followed the Army foiling a major infiltration attempt from across the border in Naugam sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
  • Troops guarding the Line of Control (LoC) intercepted a group of five to six militants, who were trying to sneak in near Toot Mari Gali in Naugam sector early morning on Thursday, an Army official said.
  • He said the troops of 35 Rashtriya Rifles challenged the infiltrating militants who opened fire, triggering a gunbattle between the two sides.
