Pulwama Encounter in J&K Ends, 1 Militant Killed

Information about militants in Ladoo village near Pampore town led security forces to start an operation.

• The encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district ended with one militant killed in the gunfight between security forces and militants.
  
  
• Earlier, following specific information about the presence of some militants in Ladoo village of Pulwama district near Pampore town, security forces started an operation.
  
  
• When a cordon was being laid around the area where militants were reportedly hiding, the security forces were fired upon. The forces retaliated and a gunfight started in the area.
