A fire broke out in the Times of India building in central Delhi’s ITO area this afternoon.

Hundreds of employees and others present in the building were evacuated by the time fire officials reached. No casualty was reported.

The incident took place around 2:15 PM, following which six fire tenders were rushed to the spot, a senior fire official said, adding that the fire broke out in a room on the rear side of the building. “The dousing operation is underway,”

Considering the large number of buildings in the area, fire officials sent 21 fire tenders to the spot. The fire has been deemed as “medium category”.
