A fire broke out at a plant of the Camcon Chemicals near Vadodara, say media reports. Fire-tenders were rushed to the spot.

There have been no casualties reported so far.

Sources said that seven fire-tenders from the VMC fire brigade and two officers from the central control room of the petrochemical industries situated in Vadodara were fighting the fire, reported TOI.

The situation has been brought under significant control.

Deepak Gunjal, Vadodara chief fire officer, told TOI that the fire-fighting operations will continue till everything has cooled down.

The flames have been brought under control to quite some extent. The operations will continue till the fire is completely doused and we cool down the material there.

A short circuit is suspected to be the reason, even though the cause has not been determined yet, says NDTV.
